H-Town’s finest female singer/jelly shaker is back and this time she brought her boy friend with her. That’s right Beyonce, the 24 year old singer/actress/pimpstress has done it again and this time she has teamed up with the one timed retired soon to be brought back into the game HOV. Sean Carter also known as Jay-Z and Beyonce who first gained her fame in the multiplatinum recording group Destiny’s Child have collaborated to create the track “De Ja Vu”for her upcoming album “B’Day.”
Beyonce’s album “B’Day” is set to be released on September 4th, which is Beyonce’s actual 25th birthday and I am sure that Jay-Z and Beyonce will be celebrating the success of their single “De Ja Vu” by that time. The album “B’Day” will feature production by famed producers such as The Neptunes and Swizz Beatz..
The first single off of “B’Day” is “De Ja Vu” and the smash hit has already been performed at the BET Awards and Beyonce and Jay-Z made a video for the up coming single “De Ja Vu” in the rebuildin city of New Orleans.
The song “De Ja Vu” is a smash hit that is takin over the slow jam section of everyone’s cd player. This track offers more than the normal R&B song because Jay-Z is back and is showin that he is better than ever. The hit track “De Ja Vu” goes as follows:
INTRO JAY-Z AND BEYONCE:
”bass,
uh,
hi hat,
uh,
808,
uh,
Jay,
uh huh,
ready,
uh huh,
let’s go get ‘em,
uh huh,
c’mon,”
FIRST VERSE BY JAY-Z:
”I used to run base like Juan Pierre,
now I run the bass hi hat and the snare,
I used to bag girls like purkin bags,
now I bag b, boy you hurtin’ that,
Brooklyn bay where they birthed me at,
now I be everywhere, the nerve of rap,
the audacity to have me whippin curtains back,
me and b, she about to sting,
stand back,”
BEYONCE:
”baby seems like everywhere I go,
I see you, from your eyes, your smile,
it’s like I breathe you, helplessly I reminisce,
don’t want to compare nobody to you,
boy, I try to catch myself,
but I’m out of control,
your sexiness is so appealing,
I can’t let it go,
oh,”
BEYONCE CHORUS:
”know that I can’t get over you,
’cause everything I see is you,
and I don’t want no substitute,
baby I swear it’s déjà vu,
know that I can’t get over you,
’cause everything I see is you,
and I don’t want no substitute,
baby I swear it’s déjà vu,”
BEYONCE SECOND VERSE:
”seeing things that I know can’t be,
am I dreaming,
when I saw you walking past me,
almost called your name,
got a better glimpse and then I looked away,
it’s like I’m losing it,
boy, I try to catch myself,
but I’m out of control,
your sexiness is so appealing,
I can’t let it go, oh,”
BEYONCE CHORUS:
”know that I can’t get over you,
’cause everything I see is you,
and I don’t want no substitute,
baby I swear it’s déjà vu,
know that I can’t get over you,
cause everything I see is you,
and I don’t want no substitute,
baby I swear it’s déjà vu,”
JAY-Z THIRD VERSE:
”Yes, hova’s flow so unusual,
baby, girl you should already know,
it’s h-o, light up the strobe,
’cause you gon’ need help tryna study my bounce, flow, blow,
what’s the difference,
one, you take in vein while the other you sniffin’,
it’s still dough, po po try to convict him,
that’s a no-go,
my dough keep the scales tippin like fou fou’s,
like I’m from the h-o-u-s-t-o-n,
blow, wind so chicago of him,
is he the best ever, that’s the argu-a-ment,
I don’t make the list, don’t be mad at me,
I just make the hits, like a factory,
I’m just one to one, nothin’ after me,
no deja vu, just me and my, oh,”
BEYONCE:
”baby I can’t go anywhere,
without thinking that you’re there,
seems like you’re everywhere, it’s true,
gotta be having déjà vu,
’cause in my mind I want you here,
get on the next plane, I don’t care,
is it because I’m missing you,
that I’m having déjà vu,
boy, I try to catch myself,
but I’m out of control,
your sexiness is so appealing,
I can’t let it go,
whoo…”
know that I can’t get over you,
’cause everything I see is you,
and I don’t want no substitute,
baby I swear it’s déjà vu,
know that I can’t get over you,
cause everything I see is you,
and I don’t want no substitute,
baby I swear it’s déjà vu,
know that I can’t get over you,
cause everything I see is you,
and I don’t want no substitute,
baby I swear it’s de ja vu,
know that I can’t get over you,
cause everything I see is you,
and I don’t want no substitute,
baby I swear it’s de ja vu.”
In this track Jay-Z flows like straight greatness. The way he switches up the flow and carelessly makes rhymes that put other MC’s to shame shows that even though Jay-z has gone above the rap game he is not too good to come back and show them what they are missing.
In addition to Beyonce’s musical success, she is also a movie star and stared in the film Goldmember and the movie Pink Panther. Beyonce is truly a truly great singer/actor. And she displayed how well she can work a track that has a thug ass rapper spittin rhymes to her laid back singing when she did the song “check on it” with fellow Houston Star Slim Thug. “Check ON It” became an instant hit and the remix to “Check On It” will appear on her “B’Day” Album.
The album “B’Day” will also feature Jay-Z on the track “Hottest Chick In Da Game.” T.I. and Usher are two other rappers that will be guest spotting on Beyonce’s new album to drop on September 4th. With Jay-Z behind her, she can not fail and I think that even without Jay-Z her pure talent would make this album a sure hit.
