Lil EAZY-E. Is there anything else I need to say? The oldest son of the man who started it all is goin to explode onto the rap scene with his up and coming album “Prince Of Compton” set to drop sometime this summer. The “Prince Of Compton” album is going to give rap some more of an old school flavor in this time and age where the derrty south’s crunk and snap movements have all but completely taken over the game.
Lil Eazy-E who possesses a flow remarkably similar to that of his father is tearin up the underground and gainin respect by showing that he can get fame for his tracks rather than simply relying on his name. Following in dad’s footsteps is goin to be hard though and for Eazy-E this task is something that he is willin to overcome. All of his life people have been comparing him to his father and straight up hating on him and his game sayin that he’d never make it and would never rep his dad the way it was supposed to be done. Lil Eazy-E is doin just that though. He has taken up what his dad had tragically left when he died in 1995 and caused a pain in hip hop that would rarely be felt if ever felt again.
Eazy-E founded N.W.A. which was the first group to do Gangsta music. Nowadays if you are not doin gangsta music you aint goin to make it. And on top of that if there was no Eazy-E there would be no Ice Cube or Dr. Dre, two of the biggest stars in not only the hip hop world but the entertainment world in general. Eazy-E is and always will be the man.
Eric Wright Jr. is looking to hit the streets hard coming straight outta Compton like his father did. In fact Lil Eazy-E grew up in the same house Eazy did. This kid is no joke. If you have a problem with Lil Eazy-E its best to keep it to yourself cause unlike his father Lil Eazy-E is ripped outta his mind and is on a mission to prove he represents real gangsta rap.
The album “Prince Of Compton” features artists such as Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Krazie Bone, Ice Cube, and production by Dr. Dre and the up and coming producers Cool and Dre. That line up alone makes this album a must have for any Eazy-E fan or any true hip hop fan.
The first single of the album “Prince Of Compton” is going to be the track, “This Ain’t A Game” which features Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. This track is one hell of an opening single to start off what is sure to be one of the most successful and lasting careers in the rap game. Everyone owes respect to Eazy-E and Lil Eazy-E is looking to collect on this. Like usual Bone Thugs lay down gangsta lyrics in their quick rappin style. Lil Eazy-E keeps it real hood in his first verse on the track and spits:
“Lil Eazy,
Young G in the CPT,
West Coast till the casket drop,
East South Block and I got that Key,
Straight Gangsta,
Im just tryin to see,
who the fuck these hoe’s tryin’ to be,
In the hood its understood don’t fuck around with easy-e,
you cross him its mayhem,
you owe him just pay him,
anything else you askin for,
nigga untimely passin,
but its all to the good,
in hood brings the wood,
Like we should, all night long,
on this Compton Shit we bone.”
Lil Eazy-E uses the laid back beat as an opportunity to show his gangsta and to rep his dad with his almost exact sounding voice. Listenin to Lil Eazy-E is like hearin Eazy-E speak from beyond the grave. If you loved Eazy then you have to check out his son’s music. This kid aint no joke, “This Aint A Game.”
On Lil Eazy-E’s second verse, Lil E spits:
“It’ll be one less nigga,
Fuckin around with my figgas,
Your ass wont get no bigga,
Im so fast when I pull that trigga,
Don’t test me,
ESC for me,
New generation Compton G,
In the hood its understood,
Don’t Fuck around with Eazy-E,
Gotta Get that paper,
Gotta Get that money, Mayne,
Gotta have these hoes on point,
When I sit back and smoke this joint,
Gotta make that money,
Gotta get that paper,
Do you nigga I cant hate cha,
Keep It Gangsta,
That’s my nature.”
Lil Eazy-E is the old school meeting the new. Nothing like this has ever been attempted and I am lookin forward to seeing the results. If nothing else buy his “Prince of Compton” album because of his father, I mean what better way to show your love for the man who started it all than to buy the album of his oldest son who has the same name and is tryin to spread the word about his fathers greatness to a generation of rap listeners who are more interested in laffy taffy and candi paint than what the great Eazy-E had to say.
