Lil Scrappy the PRINCE OF CRUNK is back. Some would argue that he never left, having teamed up with the King of Crunk for his first album, “King Of Crunk Presents: Lil Scrappy and Trillville” which gave the people more than they could handle with its many hits. The most impressive track off of the “King Of Crunk Presents: Lil Scrappy and Trillville” album was “No Problem” in which Lil Scrappy showed the world how powerful he was and how good he was at rhymin under a crunk lil jon produced beat. Other tracks from the “King Of Crunk Presents: Lil Scrappy and Trillville” album that made Lil Scrappy and Trillville into stars are “Some Cut” “Head Bussa” and “Neva Eva.” These tracks all repeated similar themes and had catchy tracks. That is the key to making a successful crunk track. Yourgrillz.com’s favorite song on the album was “Diamonds in my pinky ring.”
After the success of Lil Scrappy’s singles on the album “King Of Crunk Presents: Lil Scrappy and Trillville” Lil Scrappy teamed up with Lil Jon to create the phenominall track “What U Gonna Do.” Damn if that song wasn’t errybody’s ring tone and chant. That song was straight crunk. And the video was off the chaine. “What U Gonna Do” helped make Lil Jon’s album “Crunk Juice” into one of the best albums in recent history and it raised expectations for Lil Jon’s up coming album “Crunk Rock” which already features the single “Snap Ya Fingers.”
Lil Scrappy’s next album will be titled “Bred To Die, Born To Live.” And it will be released later this year. This album is lookin like it will clear all the competitors outta the water and be crowned the crunkest album to hit the summer this year other than Lil Jon’s Crunk Rock. The Album “Born To Die, Bread To Live” already has two singles that have taken over the internet and airwaves across the country. One of them is the single “Gangsta Gangsta” which features Lil Jon and is completely amazing and crunktactular. The other single is “Money N Da Bank” which features Young Buck and delivers to the game what it can expect from a hungry young artist like Lil Scrappy that is eager to regain his spot amongst the MANY up and coming artists from the derrty south.
“Money N DA BANK” features the skrewed down refrain “I GOT MONEY IN DA BANK SHORTY WHAT YOU DRANK” that song is crunk as all hell if you aint heard it then get the hell outta where u at and get up on it. The track shows love to G Unit, not only because it has Young Buck on it but because Lil Scrappy is cool with them. And if Scrappy is cool with G unit then I cant hate them like everyone else seems to. This song is a celebration of being on top of your game and enjoyin the riches that comes with it. “Imma get that dough, and fuck with them hoes, the ladies that know me know Scrappy’s a pro.” Scrappy is just stuntin on this track and the beat alone will leave you askin for more.
“GANGSTA GANGSTA” has a beat that will start fights around the country errytime the track is played. This song is crunk that is goin to float into ur system from the airwaves. Lil Scrappy and Lil Jon took errything that makes them so crunk and combined it into one track. The refrain for the track is goin to make it an instant hit and a favorite ring tone of the streets. “So many ways you get sprayed get hit wit the Kay anyday any muthaphucker say AY AY AY that you might get touched cause them gangsta ass niggas they don’t talk to much.” That verse just goes to prove that Scrappy is one of the hardest artists comin outta the south. He aint no bitch rapper doin it for the pop charts. He is making the tracks that are going to bang out you speakers when you roll through the hood. His Album “Bred to Die, Born To Live” is a garunteed hit in the streets whether he goes ten times platinum or sells 10,000 copies he is already made. Scrappy is part of the streets.
