The youngest member of the multiplatinum rap group The Saint Lunatics, Murphy Lee is about to release his second mainstream solo album “The Package.” After the success of his first album, “Murphy’s Law,” I expect this next album, “The Package” to do record sales for a sophomore attempt. The new single “Dat Bullshit” is already takin’ over the radio in the STL and with the type of connections that Murphy Lee has it is only a matter of time before the video for “Dat Bullshit” takes over BET and MTV. Born Torhi Murphy Lee Harper on Dec. 18, 1979, in University City, Missouri, Murphy Lee came to fame when the St. Lunatics and Nelly exploded onto the rap scene in 2000. Murphy Lee’s older brother Kyjuan is also in the St. Lunatics, a group that was started by fellow STL rap star Ali and consists of Nelly , Murphy Lee, Kyjuan , City Spud, Slow Down, and Ali . Murphy Lee was featured on Nelly’s Country Grammer Cd in tracks such as “Batter Up.” He also was featured in the remix to “Welcome To Atlanta” with Jermaine Dupri and “Salt Shaker Remix” with the Ying Yang Twins. The major singles off of Murphy Lee’s album “Murphy’s Law” were the tracks, “Hold Up” “What Da Hook Gon Be” “Luv Me Baby” and the track “Shake Your Tailfeather” which ended up wining a grammy. Having Jazze Pha, Roscoe, Lil Jon, Lil Wayne, Jermaine Dupri, and Diddy on his debut album promisses that his next album “The Package” will be star studded.

Murphy Lee’s younger brother Futurre also is in a rap group called “Da Camp” and Murphy Lee has been working with them on tracks as well as fellow St. Louis friend and rapper Potzee. He was on Potzee’s single “Good Evening.”

Murphy Lee has opened two restaurants in St. Louis by the name of “Good For Your Café” and he serves healthy food at these locations with Murphy Lee being a vegetarian himself. Murphy Lee is also the owner of U-C-ME Entertainment and a promotion company. He is taking after Nelly on those notes. Nelly is the owner of his own record label, Derrty Ent. Which is the label that Murphy Lee is releasing “The Package” with, Nelly also is the CEO of his energy drink Pimp Juice. Nelly is following Murphy Lee however in opening his bar later this year in Hazelwood Missouri under the name MACKS. MACKS stands for Murphy Lee, Ali, Cornell, Kyjuan, and Slow Down, The names of all of the members except City Spud who is not a part owner because he is in jail.
