Some say that LeToya Luckett is the hottest member or the ex-group Destiny’s Child. And to those people I say damn straight she is. If you haven’t seen her u needs to she is hott. After the break up with destiny’s child, she dipped her hand into the clothing industry by opening a store called “Lady Elle” in Houston. Her true calling was music however which is made apparent by the success of her newest single, “Torn.”
“Torn” is the hit single off her solo debut album which will be in stores July 18th. The album will feature artists Jermaine Dupri, Jazze Pha, Mike Jones, Paul Wall, Bun B, Pimp C, and Ebony Eyez. With that amount of talent, this album seems to be one of the most promising debut albums of the year. I am really anticipating hearing how Mike Jones and Paul Wall were able to work with her. That single is going to be the shit. After seeing what she can do with her part on Slim Thug’s “Already Platinum” album, I can not wait to see how her solo album will do.
The hit single, “Torn” is about relationship problems and features the lyrics, “A part of me wants to leave you alone. A part of me wants for you to come home. A part of me says I’m living a lie. And I’m better off without you. A part of me says to think it through. A part of me says I’m over you. A part of me wants to say goodbye. A part of me is asking why.” This verse shows how “Torn” LeToya is over whether or not she loves her boyfriend.
The Chorus for “Torn” is, “A part of me wants to leave. But a part of me wants to be here with you. And everytime I think we’re over and done you do something to get me back loving you. And you got me just torn. Torn in between the two. Cuz I really wanna be with you. But something’s telling me I should leave you alone. Leave you alone. Leave you alone. And you got me just torn in between the two. Cuz I really wanna be with you. But something’s telling me I should leave you alone. Leave you alone.
Leave you alone.” Her Voice is catchy as all hell.
This song is so catchy, it stays in my head all day. Destiny’s Child was a great group, but Each member individually are much better than they were as a group. And the future of LeToya Luckett is bright.
