Gena

Gena, born Greg Lawary, was raised by his mother in East St. Louis. He has been hustlin’ since he was a baby boy in the ESTL. His rap career is impressive even though he has not made a name for himself nationally yet. He has opened for acts such as PASTOR TROY, Nas, Field Mobb, and Twista.

A boyhood friend of J Kwon, Gena’s rise to fame was inevitable. Gena hooked

up with Basement Beats and his single, “Dope Boy Fresh” took over the streets. Gena’s voice and the chopped and screwed chorus of “Dope Boy Fresh” makes this track unbelievable. Not to mention Gena got Kyjuan, from the Saint Lunatics, and Chingy to be on the track. There is tooo much talent built up on this club bannga for it to not take over the country.

The single “Dope Boy Fresh” also features a ghetto ass video that chingy and Kyjuan showed up to make with Gena. Gena is doing big things for an unsigned hype. The video shows Gena mackin on dime pieces and buyin up the mall.

The first verse of “Dope Boy Fresh” is done by Gena and features the lines, “I stay dope boy fresh, errryday is like a job to me, These niggas they be killin me talkin bout how they do it big, no matter what im doin imma stand out you under dig, my momma always told me since im dark skinndid dress fly, so errrytime I hit the mall, I leave them sayin oh my…Im a country ass nigga outta East Saint Louis…dem aint real diamonds muthaphucker dem some rhinestones.”

The chorus of the track is “I stay Dope Boy Fresh, with the price of your house around my muther phuckin neck.” But the chorus is slowed down and chopped up on the part of Dope Boy Fresh. Its sick.

Kyjuan’s verse features Kyjuan talking bout his rare and expensive taste and clothes that he is known for, “I don’t know what Im shoppin for but I got errrything, and that’s on errything, Kyjuan stay clean in errything.”

Chingy, wearin the Evisu jeans in the video and a dope ass yellow diamond grill,who has really displayed his talent over the past few years is also on the track and after his last album did not get the type of review it deserved, Chingy is lookin to re-take over the game with the release of his new album and his spot on “Dope Boy Fresh” couldn’t hurt with his lines, “Yes my wrist is froze, just made five mill from realastate why invest in hoes, Chaine worth ur house, watch worth ur whip, trick watch ur mouth, I bully more than whip, nike airs and crispy tees, plus my pants cost a g, women find out im in the building they like where is he please, pinky ring a hundid…cd sellin like yay call me the dope man.” Chingy is on top of the rap game and it is about time he started getting the respect he has deserved since he began and he will be getting from his new single “ Pullin’ me back.” Featuring Tyresse.
