Gnarls Barkley is the amazing collaboration between the famed producer, Danger Mouse, and the amazing former member of Atlanta’s Goodie Mob, Cee-Lo. Their album “St. Elsewhere” was released in the UK before its release date of May 9th in the U.S.

“St. Elsewhere” has already taken over the UK and is posed to take over America’s airwaves as well. The hit single “Crazy” is one ridiculously different song from what the rap game is moving toward right now.

The video for “Crazy” is just that crazy. It is pretty much a 3 minute black dot test that is morphing into different images of Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse’s heads. The song features the trippy lyrics, “And I hope that you are having the time of your life, But think twice, that’s my only advice, Come on now, who do you, who do you, who do you, who do you, think you are, ha ha ha bless your soul, you really think you’re in control, I think you’re Crazy, I think you’re Crazy, I think you’re Crazy, Just like me.” The lyrics create a sound that will make u crave more of the song.

If you are a die hard Cee-Lo fan, this single “Crazy” is nothing like “Closet Freak,” which according to yourgrillz.com was a damn good song. “Closet Freak” is Cee-Lo’s hit that features the lyrics, “when you wit ya girl and, Pull over and fuck somethin in the back of the car, I’m a freak! A closet freak! A freak! Awwww a freak.” Personally I think it is good that Cee-Lo is still making music. I think that Danger Mouse’s Grey Album is a good twist on the game and sometimes I find myself listenin’ to it because I like the way he made good lyrics seem new by putting them over crazy beats. The Grey Album is the famed remake of Jay-z’s Black Album.

Coming from a gangsta rap stand point however, I do not see myself buying this cd and much less wasting my time downloading it. I think that if I heard this on the radio I would listen to it just because it is something different and listenin to the same thing all the time gets old.

If you are looking for a soulfull mix of relaxing tracks I suggest buying this cd. Cee-Lo is the man and there is no changing that.
