Is this the Rap sensation’s best cd ever? No. Deffinently not. I mean Juvenile is without a doubt one of the few rappers in the game who has laid down hits throughout the years on a continuous basis and though he still has plenty to offer and I feel that this, “Reality Check” CD is a great buy for anyone trying to find a rap CD with a good number of gaurenteed hits on it. I just doubt that Juvenile can top what the albums he has completed in the past at this point in his career.
He has made a good effort to make this CD sell thousands of copies world wide, with its single’s “Rodeo” “What’s Happenin’” “Get Ya Hustle On” and now the hit single, “Way I be Leanin’” featuring Two of the Games Fastest rising stars Mike Jones and Paul Wall as well as Juve’s own Wacko and Skip.
In the hit single “Way I be Leanin’,” Juvenile spits a funny commentary on now adays rap and how his presence is still being felt, “Bitches watchin him thinkin “What if he wife me? And it’s a certain kind of swagger you get. Especially when you’re used to bein the shit, that’s if you’re older right. All of my boss bitches know the type. When a nigga hug all on ya and he be smellin like a motorbike.” His verse is both cocky and gives shouts out to other rap artists such as Kelis with his “boss bitches” line.
The Chorus echos the screwed verse, “Said the ladies they love me, they love the way I be leanin. They love the way I be leanin, they love the way I be leanin All the ballers is bouncin, they love the way I be leanin. They love the way I be leanin, they love the way I be leanin.” This chorus is a mix of southern flavor and a pimped out East Coast Rap leavin the average listener with a pimp’d out smile across his grill.
Mike Jones makes his dominating presence in the game felt with his verse on this track while reppin H-Town, “You know that purple drank got me leanin, my diamonds shinin and gleamin. I’m in that dropper with Juve the groupies boppin and fiendin. I’m from the home of the candy paint, 84’s and purple drank. Ladies know when I hit they corner my slabs’ll make ‘em faint.” Mike Jones can talk about the same thing 500 different ways and it will never get old. Ever Since I can Remember I’ve been bumpin’ that chopped and screwed mike jones and it aint gonn stop.
Paul Wall’s flow is one of a kind with a voice that makes any track beg to be chopped and screwed and he rides this track to perfection, “I got that paper cause I’m caked up like Betty Crocker. Comin down on choppers single file with all the trunk poppers. Gettin money’s my only task, stack up paper and count cash. I’m ridin on that pull over silver, the same color as a bad rash.” I don’t know about u but Paul Wall could possibly be the funniest man in the world when it comes to rappin. Comparing him self to everyone from George Forman to Betty Crocker and saying that his car is the color of a bad rash will get Paul Wall madd street cred cause his rhymes is the shit.
Wacko and Skip have verses at the end of this track too incase u thought it was over. And they came prepared to the single. Wacko spits, “I’m big paper; Wacko never stop for group hoes. Oh no I don’t scoop those, fly bitches salute those. Fatties with benefits, you know I recruit those. This a Soulja Slim t-shirt, this ain’t no suit hoe.” And Skip comes in spitin, “I’m sick dog! And there ain’t no antidote. Bust your motherfuckin head like a cantaloupe. Like Hannibal, WOOF, I’m an animal.” Even though Wacko and Skip do not really add to the song lyrically, they do give the song more of a UTP feel which is what Juve wanted im sure.
Yourgrillz.com gives “Way I be Leanin’” featuring Mike Jones and Paul Wall 8 grillz outta 10.
