First of all I would like to take a moment of silence in respect of all that lil jon, aka “jonathon smith” , has brought to the rap game. This man is the KING OF CRUNK. KING OF CRUNK. HE made crunk. He turned the words “what, ok, yea.” Into his own personal slogan. NOONE else could have accomplished that feat. The crazy ass screamin that Lil Jon displays in his tracks is characteristic of crunk derrty south music that has taken the world by store. If Lil Jon is on a track it is a classic instantly no matter how it turns out.
But in addition to his rappin skills, Lil Jon has been known for a long time for his producing skillz. He has produced some of the most crunk club bangers of the pasts few years. Most of these hits such as “Get Low” “Shake It Like a Salt Shaker” “Damn” “Throw it up” “Presidential” “Yeah” “Some Cut” “No Problem” “Shake That monkey” “Culo” “Freak A Leak” “Tell Me when to go” “Goodies” “Girl Fight” etc. contain other notable rappers from Atlanta such as the ying yang twins, youngbloodz, Usher, Ludacris, Lil Scrappy, and Pastor Troy.
He has also made a sunglasses line with Oakley that have mp3 players built in. He owns the energy drink crunk juice also, the list goes on and on about this man’s accomplishments.
Just when you thought that Lil Jon was goin to fall off of the scene a lil after his Crunk Radio stopped getting played nationwide Crunk radio show. He is back with the Hott Single “Snap Ya Fingers.” This single is featuring E-40 and Sean Paul of The Youngbloodz. “Snap Yo Fingers” is capitalizing on the new snap movement of the derrty south. The single is on the much anticipated solo album from lil jon “Crunk Rock” which will be released in late 2006.
On the Track “Snap Yo Fingers,” Lil Jon can be seen getting extremely crunk with a multicolored flashin background that will either get u crunk or give you a head ache, which could have the same long term effect. This song is a milestone for the producer/rapper, because he not only does the refrain for the single, but also leads off the first verse to the song that is taking over the airwaves. Normally Lil Jon doesn’t dropp complete verses but it looks as though that is all different now.
Lil Jon’s verse on the track consists of him spittin crazy ass dance moves and lyrics that will have the club bumpin this for a long time, “You can’t do like me, I’m by myself, I do it so good, I don’t need nobody else, What’s happenin’, what’s up, Got da purk fired up, What’s happenin’, what’s up, Got Patrone in my cup.” Damn his voice only gets you crunk and his lyrics are amazing.
E-40, who is currently burnin up the charts with his lil jon produced single “tell me when to go” is on the track as well and leaves some memorable lines, “Look around tha club, what do I see, Everybody rockin’ side to side to tha beat, Snappin’ they fingers, bouncin’ to tha groove, All by they self, that’s tha new move.” His lines are mainly commenting on the new dance craze and showing his acceptance of it.
Finally the real Sean Paul of the Young Bloodz appears on the track. He spits, “Reppin’ my block BITCH!, straight from tha deck, When you snap ya fingers shawty, gotta jerk ya neck, Smokin’ on tha best, we don’t fuck wit dat mess, I bet you can’t do it, do it, do it like this.”
After Sean Paul’s verse the chorus kicks in which is mainly an outline of how to do the snap dance, “Snap ya fingers! Do ya step! You can do it all by yo self! Let me see you do it! Ay! Let me see you do it! Ay!”
This song is sooo CRunk and if u aint hurrd it yet then u gots to click on the video at the top of the page and get the snap dance down. Cause if u roll up to the club and cant do this, u besta not even show up. Yourgrillz.com gives lil jon’s new single 9 grillz outta 10.
